Tikorangi Playcentre now water-tight
A grant from TET has ensured that the Tikorangi Playcentre is now water-tight
The Tikorangi Playcentre is one of the hubs of that community.
But it has had to contend with an unnecessary pest intruding on the inside – water.
Thankfully, through a grant from the Taranaki Electricity Trust, the building is now safe, warm and dry once again.
“The funds provided by TET for this project has allowed us to be in a position to head into the coming winter knowing that we now have water-tight cladding,” President Tina Barr said. “There were several areas where the old cladding was crumbling off the walls which also posed a safety risk for the small children attending Playcentre and we are very grateful that this has also now been resolved.”
